Walters State’s Brian Carter named TCCAA Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

MORRISTOWN, TN – Since coming back from injury, Walters State's Brian Carter has been playing on another level.

On Tuesday, Carter was named the TCCAA Men's Basketball Player of the Week. 

In two games last week, Carter averaged 22.5 points and collected eight rebounds per game. Against Cleveland State, Carter scored 20 first half points and finished the game with 24 points and seven rebounds. Over the weekend at Volunteer State, Carter had 21 points and nine rebounds. 

For the season, Carter is averaging 12.3 points per game, 5.5 rebounds and is shooting 76.8% from the field. 

Carter helped lead Walters State to a 2-0 week, and the Senators are currently 21-1 and 13-1 in TCCAA play.

Carter and the Senators are back in action on Wednesday, traveling to take on Chattanooga State at 12:30 pm ET.
