Maddox Butler named TCCAA Men’s Golfer of the Week

MORRISTOWN, TN – It was a tournament to remember last week for Walters State's Maddox Butler, and Butler was honored for it on Tuesday. 

Following his win at The East Tennessee Collegiate, Butler was named the TCCAA Men's Golfer of the Week.

Butler earned the honor following a 13-under showing at the Johnson City Country Club. Butler shot 5-under in his opening round and followed it up with an impressive 8-under in his second round. Butler won the tournament by six shots and had 15 birdies over the two rounds. 

Butler helped lead Walters State to a third place finish at the tournament. 

Butler and the Senators will be back in action next Monday, hosting the Bill Gardner Fall Classic at The Country Club in Morristown.
