Maddox Butler named TCCAA Co-Golfer of the Week

MORRISTOWN, TN – Maddox Butler was named the TCCAA Golfer of the Week on Tuesday for the second time of the spring season. 

Butler earned the honor after finishing in second-place at the Northeast Tennessee Spring Shootout. Butler shot one-over in the two round tournament. 

Butler shot two-over in his opening round of the tournament, with a birdie on hole eight and just one bogey and a double bogey. In round two, Butler shot one-under. Butler was two-under on the front-nine, with birdies on holes three, four, six and nine, and birdied the 13th hole on the back-nine. 

Butler helped lead Walters State to first place at the Northeast Tennessee Shootout. 

Butler and the Senators are back in action next Monday, taking part in the Region 7 Championship at the Ooltewah Club.
