Gage Slagle named TCCAA Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week 

MORRISTOWN, TN – It was quite the start to Gage Slagle's Walters State career last Friday, and he was rewarded for that effort on Tuesday.

Slagle, who won the Walters State Opener, was named the TCCAA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week. 

Slagle won the 5K race with a time of 18:21, the fastest 5k time for Walters State since Ryan Sadlon ran 18:20 in 2021. 

Slagle's time helped guide Walters State to the team victory in the race, as well. 

Slagle and the Senators will be back in action on Friday, racing in the Eye Opener in Spartanburg, SC.
