Gage Slagle finishes third at Bruins Night XC Classic
GREENVILLE, SC – Gage Slagle earned a third place finish at the Bruins Night XC Classic on Friday evening, leading Walters State to a sixth place finish.
Along with the men, the women had three runners race.
Slagle's time was the fastest 6k time in Walters State history, and he just missed out on second place in the race by less than a second.
Along with Gage Slagle, Gavin Slagle finished in 11th place with a time of 20:02. Evan Miller was next for Walters State in 41st with a time of 21:05, and Sam Runyan came in 67th place with a time of 22:11.
Rounding out the team were Edgar Martinez in 79th place with a time of 22:52, David Baker in 93rd place with a time of 24:02, Parker Minor in 107th place with a time of 27:17 and Walter Kledzik in 110th place with a time of 29:02.
On the women's side, Aislynn Hurley led the way in 34th place with a time of 17:02. Next up for the Lady Senators was Allie Swann in 76th place with a time of 18:54, and third for Walters State was Ava Curry in 89th place with a time of 20:34.

Walters State will be back in action next Friday at the Raider Invite in Harriman, TN. The women are set to run at 6 pm with the men to follow at 6:45 pm.
