HARRIMAN, TN – A short-handed Walters State cross country team raced in the RSCC Raider XC Invite on Friday evening. 

The Lady Senators had four student-athletes compete, while the Senators had three student-athletes race. The women ran a 5k, and the men raced an 8k. 

For the Lady Senators, Aislynn Hurley led the way with a 14th place finish and time of 21:32. Behind Hurley was Katie Calkins in her first race for Walters State. Calkins finished in 20th place with a time of 21:56.

Rounding out the Lady Senators were Allie Swann in 28th place with a time of 24:11 and Chloe Williford in 31st place with a time of 27:10. 

For the men, Evan Miller led the way in 17th place with a time of 30:40. Sam Runyan was next for Walters State in 22nd place with a time of 31:52. The final runner for the Senators was David Baker in 26th place with a time of 32:51.
