Gage Slagle finishes Top 10 at Twilight at John Hunt Park
HUNTSVILLE, AL – Gage Slagle continued his impressive freshman season on Friday evening, finishing seventh at the Twilight at John Hunt Park.
As a team, the Senators finished in sixth place. The Lady Senators had four student-athletes race. The men's race was an 8k, while the women ran a 5k.
Slagle finished Friday's race with a time of 26:27, his fastest 8k time of the season. It was Slagle's fourth top 10 finish of the season.
Following behind Gage was Gavin Slagle in 17th place with a time of 26:59. Evan Miller was next for Walters State in 67th place with a time of 28:53, and Sam Runyan finished in 84th place with a time of 30:02.
Rounding out the team for the Senators were Edgar Martinez in 90th place with a time of 30:29, David Baker in 92nd with a time of 30:36, Parker Minor in 151st place with a time of 39:16 and Walter Kledzik in 154th with a time of 40:25.
For the Lady Senators, Katie Calkins led the way in 20th place with a time of 20:49. It was Calkins' fastest time of the season.
Behind Calkins was Aislynn Hurley in 26th place with a time of 21:07. It was Hurley's fastest time of the season, as well. Rounding out the team were Allie Swann in 60th with a time of 22:59 and Chloe Williford in 92nd with a time of 25:57.
