Six Lady Senators named to All-TCCAA Softball Teams
CHATTANOOGA, TN – Six Lady Senators were named to the All-TCCAA Softball Teams on Thursday.
Making All-TCCAA First Team were Alayna Ross and Addison Beech. On All-TCCAA Second Team were Jaelyn McDaniel, Randi Delong, Emma Myatt and Kendal Mason.
Ross was named All-TCCAA First Team following a standout freshman season. Ross led the league in batting average at .453 and in home runs with 21. Ross was third in RBIs at 62 and ranked first in slugging percentage at 1.022.
Along with Ross on All-TCCAA First Team was Beech in the outfield. Beech finished the season hitting .376 and stole 23 bases. Beech had a .447 on base percentage and was exceptional in the field out in center, converting on 62 of 63 chances.
McDaniel made All-TCCAA Second Team after hitting .414 with six home runs and 30 RBIs. McDaniel hit .452 in conference play and had a slugging percentage of .781.
Delong was also named All-TCCAA Second Team after finishing top five in the conference in RBIs and home runs. Delong hit .463 on the season, smashing 12 home runs and 55 RBIs despite missing multiple weeks during the year due to injury.
Rounding things out on the All-TCCAA Second Team were Mason in the outfield and Myatt in the circle. Mason hit .380 on the year, smacking seven home runs and driving in 40 runs. Mason had a .467 OPB and reached base in 42 games.
Meanwhile, Myatt went 10-5 in the circle and struck out 66 batters. Myatt had a 4.25 ERA and a 2.40 ERA in conference play.
