Kacey Pillion named TCCAA Softball Player of the Week
MORRISTOWN, TN – In her first games back in over a month, Kacey Pillion put on a show for Walters State over the weekend.
During a four-game stretch, Pillion hit .714, with 10 hits, five home runs and eight RBIs. For that, she was named the TCCAA Softball Player of the Week.
In game one on Friday against Southwest Tennessee, Pillion homered in her first two at-bats, before doubling in a run in her third at-bat. Pillion went 4-for-4 in the game and followed it up with two more home runs in game two.
On Saturday, Pillion picked up where she left off as she belted a two-run home run in the bottom of the first against Dyersburg State. Pillion had three hits in the game and picked up a hit in the final game of the weekend, as well.
Thanks to her efforts, Pillion helped guide the Lady Senators to a 3-1 start in TCCAA play.
Pillion and the Lady Senators are back in action on Thursday, traveling to take on Volunteer State. The doubleheader is set to begin at 3 pm ET.
