Terryauna Griffin named TCCAA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

MORRISTOWN, TN – Terryauna Griffin has been unstoppable in 2026 for the Walters State women's basketball team, and she was honored for last week's performance.

On Tuesday, Griffin was named the TCCAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Griffin earned the honor after back-to-back career high's last week. Against Motlow State, Griffin scored 35 points in a 96-79 win over Motlow State. Griffin added seven assists, seven rebounds and five steals in the game, as well. 

Then, on Saturday, Griffin scored 38 points after shooting 13-18 from the field. Griffin scored 19 points in the first quarter and made five 3-pointers in the opening 10 minutes. Griffin also had seven rebounds and five steals in the game.

Griffin helped lead Walters State to a 2-0 week. The Lady Senators are 14-2 on the season and 10-0 in TCCAA play.
