Veda Barton named TCCAA Offensive Player of the Week

MORRISTOWN, TN – Veda Barton helped lead Walters State volleyball to two big conference wins last weekend and was honored because of it.

On Tuesday, Barton was named the TCCAA Offensive Player of the Week.

Barton earned the honor after hitting .300 during the week with 36 kills and two aces in just nine sets. Barton had 15 kills against Cleveland State, nine kills against Jackson State and 12 kills against Dyersburg State. 

Thanks to Barton's efforts, the Lady Senators went 2-1 with two wins over Jackson State and Dyersburg State, both coming in straight sets. 

Barton and Walters State are back in action on Tuesday, hosting Roane State at 6 pm ET.
