Barton, Hyatt and Tarleton named to All-TCCAA Volleyball Teams

MORRISTOWN, TN – Walters State's Veda Barton, Annah Cate Hyatt and Davanie Tarleton were all honored by the TCCAA on Friday.

During the TCCAA/Region 7 Volleyball Tournament, Barton and Hyatt were named as members of the All-TCCAA Volleyball First Team. Tarleton was selected to the All-TCCAA Volleyball Second Team. 

Barton was named to the first team after a phenomenal sophomore season. Barton led the conference in points during the regular season with 414.5, was second in the conference in kills with 323, second in total blocks with 91, fourth in kills per set at 3.30 and third in hitting percentage at .274. Barton also served 39 aces during the regular season.

Meanwhile, Hyatt was also selected to the All-TCCAA First Team. Hyatt was third in the conference in assists per set during the regular season with 6.71 and fifth in assists with 564. Hyatt also totalled 279 digs, had 3.32 digs per set and served 37 aces. 

Lastly, Tarleton was named a member of the All-TCCAA Second Team. Tarleton led the conference in total blocks during the regular season with 97 and in blocks per set at 0.99. Tarleton also had 152 kills, hit .215 and served 23 aces.
